"Litigator Savitt Moves to Employment Law Boutique"
Litigator Linda C.
Miller Savitt has joined employment law boutique Ballard, Rosenberg &
Golper, effective July 1. She leaves Sherman Oak's Rushfield, Shelly &
Drake, bringing 12 associates with her.
With the arrival
of Savitt's group, Ballard Rosenberg will nearly double it's size: from
20 attorneys to 33. The Universal City firm, best known for it's work
for employers ion the hospital industry, adds Savitt's health care litigation
practice. Savitt represents hospitals and medical facilities in disputes
with employees.
With more than 40
jury trials under her belt and only two losses to date, Savitt is best
known for her victory in the landmark sexual harassment case, Fisher v.
San Pedro, where California appellate court laid out the standard for
a "hostile work environment." "Linda is perhaps the most experienced employment
law trial lawyer in Southern California," name partner Richard Rosenberg
said.
"Linda brings to
us her trial experience and her clients, and we bring to her clients access
to a full range of employment law services and expertise they weren't
getting before."
Associates joining
Savitt at Ballard Rosenberg are Annette M. Barber, Julie M. Brodsky, Dawn
M. Cushman, Scott A. Freedman, Adrian Jo C. Guidotti, Maurice E. "Ted"
Harisson III, Christine T Hoeffner, David G. Jones, Gordon N Kojima, Wendy
Moss and Karen L. Wold.
