Jack P. Schaedel is an associate with the firm. He has devoted his career to
representing employers in all aspects of labor and employment law. Mr.
Schaedel earned his B.S. at Cornell University's School of Industrial
& Labor Relations in 1992. In 1995, he graduated from the UCLA School
of Law. While attending UCLA, he served as Articles Editor for the UCLA
Entertainment Law Review and drafted an article entitled Harassment
Law: A Hostile Environment for Speech?
Mr. Schaedel represents employers in a variety of employment-related litigation
and has represented employers before the California Department of Fair
Employment and Housing, the Division of Labor Standards Enforcement, the
Workers Compensation Appeals Board, the Los Angeles County Civil Service
Commission, and other state and federal agencies. Mr. Schaedel also counsels
and represents unionized employers in many aspects of traditional labor
law, including assisting employers in staying union-free. He has served
as Assistant Editor of the treatise The Developing Labor Law. Finally,
Mr. Schaedel provides counseling and advice to employers aimed at helping
them to comply with the panoply of state and federal regulation and to
avoid future litigation.
Mr. Schaedel is admitted to practice before all state and federal courts
in California and is a member of the Labor and Employment sections of
the American Bar Association, the State Bar Association, and the Los Angeles
County Bar Association. Mr. Schaedel speaks Spanish conversationally as
well as some German and French.
