Omar Shehabi is an associate in the firm. He practices exclusively in the area of labor and employment law. Mr. Shehabi graduated magna cum laude with Bachelor of Arts degrees in Classics and Philosophy from George Washington University in 2003 and received his Juris Doctor from the University of Notre Dame Law School in 2006.
Before joining Ballard Rosenberg Golper & Savitt, Mr. Shehabi worked at Gilbert & Sackman, a union-side labor law firm in Los Angeles, and Dowd, Bloch and Bennett, a union-side labor law firm in Chicago. He has also previously worked as a volunteer attorney at Bet Tzedek Legal Services, a legal aid clinic in Los Angeles. He has experience in traditional labor law, frequently appearing before the National Labor Relations Board, as well as class-action employment law and employment discrimination law.
Mr. Shehabi is a member of the California and Illinois State Bars and is admitted to practice before the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh and Ninth Circuits and the United States District Courts for the Central District of California and the Northern District of Illinois.
