ANNUAL EEO-1 FORM
FILING DEADLINE

A September 30, 2008 filing deadling is looming for employers who are required to file this form if:
  1. You have 100 or more employees; or
  2. You are a federal government contractor with 50 or more employees and have a single contract or sub-contract of at least $50,000.
EEO-1 forms must be filed online.  You can get further information about the filing requirements on the EEOC website at: http://www.eeoc.gov/eeo1survey.

The EEOC does not impose a remedy for failing to file the form.  There are no fines or penalties imposed for the non-filing or late filing of the forms.  EEOC will issue a "show cause" letter in the event that the filing is not received.  However, it is recommended that companies comply with this requirement.

Federal contractors may also be required to file the VETS-100 Form.  The link to the electronic filing website is:
https://vets100.vets.dol.gov.  The website will contain information concerning filing requirements.  The filing requirement is contingent upon the size of your government contract and whether the contract was entered into before or after December 1, 2003.

If you have any questions about these filing requirements, your contact at the Firm is ready to be of assistance.
