The theme of this year's Annual Conference
is "Recognizing 20 years of ADA Legislation." At one of its
general sessions, Ms. Hurevitz will address the employer's obligation
to engage in an interactive process where an employee requires an
accommodation due to a disability to perform the essential functions of
their job. However, the approach used will be from the point of
view of a jury and attendants at the session will actively participate
as members of the jury as if they were hearing the case in court.
The presentation is entitled "And the Verdict is ...The Ultimate
Interactive Process."
This year's ERTSC Annual Conference will also feature Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, who will be the recipient of the Round Table's Leadership Award in Disability Rights.
The conference is scheduled for November 4, 2010 at the Westin Bonaventure Hotel, 404 South Figueroa, Los Angeles, CA. More information is available at www.ertsc.org.
