BRGS Attorneys Make Their Presence Known at ASCDC Annual Conference

Partner Eric C. Schwettmann will be sworn in as President of the Association of Southern California Defense Counsel (ASCDC) at its upcoming annual meeting. This is a very prestigious honor and Eric has spent many years involved with ASCDC, including frequent public speaking at its events, sitting on its Board of Directors, and most recently serving on its Executive Committee as Secretary/Treasurer, Vice President, and President-Elect. Along with the amazing Board, Eric has spent the last year planning the annual seminar and will be speaking throughout the two-day event (February 8th and 9th). Please join us in congratulating our partner and friend on this amazing accomplishment.

Next, the February 9th luncheon is featuring keynote speaker Bob Kendrick, the President of the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum. Senior Counsel Linda B. Hurevitz will be opening the ceremony by singing the national anthem alongside attorneys Ken Freundlich, John Blumberg, and Hon. Sheri Bluebond, a.k.a. “The Singers in Law.”

Lastly, Partner Katherine A. Hren is moderating a panel addressing “Litigating, Mediating, and Trying Employment-Related Cases - What We’ve Seen and What We Expect to See.” Her dynamic panel features mediator Hon. Michael D. Marcus (Ret.), Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Rupert A. Byrdsong, and Los Angeles Unified School District Associate General Counsel Jacquiline M. Wagner.
