Senior Partner John Golper will be speaking at the Winter Meeting of the Order of the Golden Bruin on Saturday January 30, 2016. This is a 79 year-old UCLA group comprised of select student leaders, alumni, staff, faculty and UCLA administrators who have demonstrated extraordinary service to UCLA. Only 1,750 people have ever been admitted into the Order beginning with Robert Gordon Sproul, UCLA’s 1st President. John will be speaking at a panel discussing “The UCLA Student Athlete -Past and Present.” John’s focus will be on the current status of legal challenges involving “Pay for Play” issues affecting college athletes. The Panel will include a UCLA Executive Associate Athletic Director, a current UCLA head coach and several well- known UCLA athletes who were All-Americans at UCLA and went on to play professionally. One of the panelists will be John’s son, Todd Golper, who was a scholarship football player at UCLA in the 2009-2012 seasons. The Panel Discussion will be held in the Press Room of UCLA’s Hall of Fame Room at the Morgan Center on UCLA’s Campus.
